Crash for Cash Caught on Camera - Caught Out!
According to this youtube clip that we found Aviva has reported a 51% increase in induced accidents (real accidents
caused by fraudsters claiming for personal injury damages) This
dramatic rise is cause for real concern for Britain's motorists. This
video shows the moment when one innocent motorist is caught up in such
an accident. It is a 'typical' crash for cash scenario: two cars in
front, both involved, slow down. When one peels off on the slip road, it
is assumed the car immediately in front will speed up to. Instead, he
slams on his brakes, causing the 'victim' to crash into him.

Benefits of Using a Dash Cam
Whilst browsing for examples of bad driving caught on dash cam we found this one that happened back in 2011. We are sharing it because it shows the benefits of using a dash cam, without which this brazen lady might have gotten away with a hit and run due to lack of evidence. Some may not want to watch the video and prefer to just read about the incidence, you cant see any detail but can clearly see the man being knocked off his feet which some might find distressing.
The footage shows a woman overtaking on the wrong side of a traffic island, in the process she knocks an elderly gentleman down (went on to make a full recovery. He suffered cuts under his chin and was badly bruised.)
The passenger of the camera car jumps out to help the old gentleman, while the driver goes after the woman, he dials 999 on route to give details of what she has done and her current whereabouts.
The woman, realising she is being followed, pulls over and talks to the driver of the camera car.
When asked about hitting the old man she strongly denies it. (claiming she is in a hurry to get to work).
When later questioned by Police and shown the evidence, she crying when she realised what she had done.
Outcome of this? She was banned from driving for 2 years, given 200 hours community service and had to pay £500 in compensation to the victim.
