Use Your Mirrors - Dashcam Recording
Thank goodness that the driver of this car had a dash cam. We hope that the driver reversing in this case admitted fault, without the guy with the dash cam having to point out that the event and "whose fault it was" was recorded. However some unscrupulous people would try to shift the blame in this situation that could leave you at risk if you don't have a dash cam

ITN want your Dashcam Footage for TV Show
Have you filmed a crash, scrape or near miss? ITV Wants your footage
For
a brand new primetime show about UK road crashes, near misses, scrapes and
escapes, ITV are looking for footage filmed on dash cams and helmet cams by
road users across the country.
As well as featuring the clips themselves, we are looking to tell the stories behind some of these clips, and speak to those involved.
Please get in touch if you have a clip you think we could use in the show. We'd also like to know if you might be interested in appearing on camera to talk through your experiences.
We are looking to make films that are more thoughtful than just the standard clip/voiceover routine, and it's for this exact reason that we're reaching out to you - to get real stories and experiences of actual road users, that really give people a true sense of the dangers of the road.
Our films will be led by the characters that will talk to us, and the footage.
Please get in touch and contact us at caughtoncamera@itn.co.uk - we look forward to hearing from you.

Bit of Feel Good on a Sunday! - Polite Pedestrians!
So I know what you're thinking after all the dash cam videos of Russia recently! but really not everyone in Russia is trying to throw themselves under a car and here is the proof.
Being a polite driver that lets people cross the road and change lanes has rewards! pass it on / pay it forwards!
Happy Sunday!

Car vs Truck Crash E40 Aalter (Belgium)
This video was captured 13-8-2014, E40 Gent (Ghent) - Brugge (Bruges), exit Aalter. The Driver was
sent to hospital in critical condition (2 broken cervical vertabraes
(neck). She was in a coma for a while but got out of it and is
recovering exceptionally well. Which after seeing the video I think you will that she is a very lucky lady indeed.I bet that this truck driver was glad that he had a dash cam to prove that he was not at all at fault in this incident

Dash Cam Catches Swerving Car Narrowly Miss Tractor
A driver who dangerously swerved around other cars and almost crashed
into a tractor escaped justice because the clock on the dash cam that captured the incident was not properly set. The shocking footage was captured by Tony Seva on September 27 as he was driving on the busy A11 dual carriageway in Norfolk.
The footage clearly shows a blue Ford Focus behaving recklessly, cutting in from the left, narrowly missing a slow-moving tractor and then nearly colliding with the central reservation.
Mr Seva said he was driving at more than 50mph and the Ford Focus driver "came out of nowhere" at a much quicker speed.
The incident was reported to police but an incorrect time stamp on the footage meant that officers were unable to prosecute the driver. Norfolk police did however have "very strong word" with the driver in question.
Chief Inspector Chris Spinks emphasized that dashboard cameras were "vital" in investigating incidents on the road.
